I remember

I remember we smiled making jokes

i remember the cool breeze

i remember the sun beaming in my eyes

i remember the sun beaming on my body

i remember the random people smiling throwing a frisbee

i remember the other people playing volleyball

i remember running after my cousins with this funny feeling in my toes

i remember my father throwing my step mom around and her hair was damp

i remember hearing her scream and laughing when she got back up

i remember eating sandwiches and having to wait 20 minutes before going back in the water to play with my cousins

i remember spending time with my step mom talking to her

i remember touching her belly trying to imagine her stomach getting bigger

i remember everyone's colorful clothes

i remember going to the deep end and getting yelled at

i remember those times i spent with you

i will always remember those times i spent with my father laughing and joking
